Concept and manifesto by D. Dambreville

TRIFAB was formulated in France by D. Dambreville in the manifesto TRIFAB — Déchetterie · Ressourcerie · Fablab (version 1.0, October 2026), published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence: free to copy, adapt and share, provided the author is credited.

Why this site

The TRIFAB manifesto was written in French, for French local authorities. Its logic — collect, sort, repair and make, measure, share — applies far beyond France. This site summarises the concept in English, explains how it works, how it can be funded and how a first pilot site can be launched, and publishes in-depth articles for those who want to go further.

The author

D. Dambreville designs working methods and public-interest proposals, published on the author's website. TRIFAB is one of them: a concept meant to be taken up, adapted and carried by others. Follow the author on X and LinkedIn.

What this site does not do

  • It does not run any TRIFAB site and does not speak on behalf of any local authority.
  • It does not collect personal data: no cookies, no trackers, no forms, no third-party resources.
  • It announces no figure it cannot source. Legal and funding frameworks change: always check them locally.
