The TRIFAB manifesto
“From the skip to the workbench.” A public document, free to read, adapt and carry to your elected representatives.
The manifesto at a glance
TRIFAB — Déchetterie · Ressourcerie · Fablab: transformer le tri en matière première locale (“turning sorting into a local raw material”) was written by D. Dambreville and published in October 2026 as version 1.0. It is addressed to residents, elected officials and every actor of reuse, training and making. It is organised in four parts:
- The project — the finding, the three links of the chain, safety first, day-to-day operation, what the territory gains.
- The model — a stable economic model on three revenue pillars, a social and solidarity economy approach, governance.
- Implementation — the pilot site, keeping the place alive, measuring results, roadmap and points of vigilance, a reproducible model.
- Taking action — becoming a relay, ready-to-copy templates (letter and council motion), relay contacts, the call to local authorities.
It is not only a question of waste management. It is the capacity of a territory to keep, transform and pass on the value of the materials it already owns.

The first decision it asks for
That every local authority responsible for waste studies, within twelve months, the feasibility of at least one TRIFAB pilot site, then decides on the basis of measured results.
